Ouch!!! looks like a ding to me... a really big ding. Did you get run over by a boat?
I was at the home break. Got run over by John. The waves had virtually no shape so you could pop up and go whichever way you chose. He went right. I went left. When I saw him, I immediately turned to keep from hitting him. He didn't turn. His fin then maliciously attacked my board! Oh well. It happens. He offered to pay. I declined since I didn't think anyone was at fault (or else we both were at fault).
C'est la vie. I'll take it to be fixed tomorrow.
Yeah, I've been re-thinking my habitual visits to home break. I love everybody there, and the social outings are what keeps me going back, but I keep feeling like I need better waves.
The point is moot right now because, though you have plenty more boards to surf while Checkerboard is in recovery, I only got one knee! :)
GAH! Edit+undo on your session. What a big bummer.
