The New Slick

A new board brings new possibilities.

I'm not feeling that lavender. However, I was more than happy to overlook it to buy a new Slick for less than $600. As far as I'm concerned, I scored!

Worm, I'd be more than happy to let you spray paint it. I've seen your work. I am not at all artistic enough not to screw it up if I tried. Can you make me a stencil of something?

Christian, it's a date!

I never new the dims of the first Slick. They were covered by the resin tint. Chris Slick didn't even know the dims (as he was at the shop when I first spied that board).

This one is 9'2" x 22 1/2" x 19 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 2 5/8".

Same model, but longer and thicker. My other Slick was on the thin side with very little glass. This one is thick with a decent amount of glass. They had quite a few Slicks there, Bill. Most of the Slicks left were 2+1 set-ups. There were a few single fins left though. And they're willing to deal. $575 cash! Score!

I did a Google search on making stencils. Of course, the first thing I want is James Brown. I'm not sure what else. Like I said, I did start doing some looking around for information on stencils.

You know what else? In the old days, when people took dancing lessons they were often given these diagrams that showed where the feet went. So they'd have multiple pairs of feet and arrows. I thought about doing that with footprints going to the nose to hang 10. Again, I've always got ideas but I'm not good with that kind of stuff. I'm only good with the written word.
