Cars in My Neighborhood

This post is directed specifically to Jamie. This is the car I've been pining after for about three years. Now that I drive a station wagon, I can see the beauty of this little pretty beast. I must have it! I'm serious when I say I'd sell the Bus to have this car!

That's a 65, isn't it? I had two 65 Falcons for many years. One a 4dr and one a 2dr. Loved them both.

I have no idea what year it is. I know I just want it! I am definitely a Ford girl. As a kid, I was head over heels in love with Thunderbirds. I could tell you everything about them. I still love my T-Birds and know someone who's selling one now. Unfortunately, it's completely impractical for my lifestyle. I need a station wagon, that station wagon.

You may or may not care, but the Earlez Grill on Crenshaw and Exposition has been having a few Saturday AM carshows and when I drove by today it was an amazing array of VW's- probably 20 or so of them including a line of really cherry Kombi's. I'm not even a fan of the VW and I was way impressed. The Earlez people are really nice so if you called I'm sure they'd clue you in on the next VeeDub meet.

Kirk, did Earlez move? Is that the place right down the street from Leimert Park. I need to check that out . . . although I fear the Bus would get laughed right off of Crenshaw!

yep, same people- they've moved into the old Chili Factory place (and kept the sign) They have good hotdogs and car shows so they're alright. Nothing gets laughed of the Blvd though!
